After several meetings, to legalize the ILD CLEAN Project, we come to an agreement with an operating Association in Dahab ...
DEAS ( Dahab Environmental Advancement Society ) will take the project under their umbrella ...
the first step will be to take the cleaning business for Dahab with the beginning of April from our City Council and contract a professional cleaning company, who will sign the guidelines from the ILD CLEAN project ...

to convince the City Council, to give the cleaning business to DEAS,
we need YOU,
to go in as a new member of DEAS to support the ILD CLEAN project ...

Membership Application procedure

Sign up for the DEAS membership at the Dahab Real Estate Office ( temporary office ) and get your membership card ...
please bring your passport / ID card and 60LE for the yearly memberfee ...

Office opening for DEAS membership signup - daily from 6pm - 7pm



next meeting of the DEAS association

30th of march 7 pm

Asalah Center

- Presentation of the DEAS Association
- Presentation of the ILD CLEAN Project
- Membership Application
- Election of the Administrative Council of DEAS

HI,

I HAVE A HOUSE IN ASALA.  I FIND AT LEAST 40 PERCENT OF MY RUBBISH IS EMPTY
PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES.  PREVIOUSLY I HAD A HOUSE IN TURKEY.  THERE YOU CAN
GET 19LTS BOTTLES OF WATER WITH PUMP.  THESE ARE EXCHANGED WHEN EMPTY FOR FULL BOTTLES.  AVOIDING ANY RUBISH.  THE LAST TIME I WAS IN DAHAB I TRIED TO DO THIS BUT THE ONLY PERSON I COULD FIND WAS COMPLETELY UNORGANISED.
ANYONE OFFERING THIS SERVICE WOULD MAKE A GOOD PROFIT AND WOULD ALSO HELP THE ENVIRONMENT.

but at least we have the possibility allready here Wink ...
and we use since more than 4 month only this 20l bottles ... 95% less plastic bottles in our family Smiley

check here for more info ...

for the future there will be a well organized shop for this water business ... inshallah ... looking forward , but let's do it NOW !

HI CLAUS,  THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY, I SAW MOSSANS NUMBER ON THIS WEBSITE
AND WHEN I WAS IN DAHAB IN FEBRUARY I WENT TO SEE HIM HOPING TO BUY THIS
SYSTEM.   HE DID NOT HAVE ANY BOTTLES OR PUMPS AT THAT TIME AND HIS PREMISES
LOOKED A BIT DISORGANISED.   HE SAID HE COULD POSSIBLY GET DELIVERIES IN A FEW DAYS AND HE TOOK MY NUMBER AND PROMOISED TO PHONE ME.
I WAS IN DAHAB FOR A FURTHER 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT BUT HE DID NOT PHONE ME.
I AM A BIT WORRIED NOW THAT I COULD BUY THE BOTTLES AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET REFILLS.
LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVEING THIS FOR THE FUTURE

We have been informed from the  department of social affairs in South Sinai that the general meeting for the administrative council election of DEAS will be delayed to the date 13/4/2008 and that it should be before 2 pm. We arrange now to make it at 11am . Sorry for the second time changing ...
That means on
Sunday 13th of April at 11am

You know I am there in Spirit with you and when I am in Dahab I am often to be found carrying plastic bottles and/or bags that have been "donated" to the road

The administrative council for DEAS is elected ...
9 members - including 1 woman and 1 foreigner Wink

main issues in 2008

- establish a "social club" ( meeting point / office in Asalah )
- ILD CLEAN project
- support old Bedouins to fulfill a trip to Mekka

next meeting of the administrative council is today evening ...
- election of the DEAS chairman, vize, secretary, accountant ...
- preparation of the action plan ...
