-Why have earlier projects failed?
-Experience from French company in Alex?
-Cost of modern garbage collection
-Public recycling disposals?
-Experience from Nuweiba on recycling?
-Experience from Sharm el Sheikh on recycling?
-Where can we recycle litter from Dahab?

-How to manage organic waste as animal feed?
-How to deal with construction waste?
-Disposal site for construction waste: Where?
-How to improve the construction procedures to minimize waste?

Dahab DOES have rubbish recycling

There IS a recycling centre in Dahab. They collect plastic bottles, cans and paper and crush it into bales. These are then taken, I think, to Nuweiba, where they can be sold.

I take my domestic stuff down there. If you're interested check it out: it's on the way into Laguna at the back of the big piece of undeveloped land that sits just south of the Black Prince.

In the UK most of the recycling starts by seperating at source, i.e. people sorting their own stuff out before it's collected. Taking bottles, cans and paper out of the rubbish equation would surely reduce the amount of trash in town by half at least...

where are the street cleaners? Huh
you know not the trash collectors but the street cleaners.
The ones that sweep  the roads and the promenades or machines(scrub maybe)?
There are just not enough employees in this system!
The garbage collectors are only five, I think?
So they sometimes sweep the promenade but rarely.

Hi everyone,

Hope you can help. Our guest bedroom is now almost entirely filled with plastic bottles as we haven't a clue as where the best place to bring them to be recycled.

We haven't been convinced that the small recycling amphoras as Sinai Hilton and Coralia are actually taking the bottles to be recycled. Any advice on where to take our beloved collection would be greatly appreciated! A previous poster suggested a recycling centre behind Black Prince? Is this true?

Thanks!
April
