Work Group: VISITOR’S TAX

Need to find out…

-Experience from St Catherine and other protectorates, good and bad.
-Possible to get visitors tax in Dahab (not protectorate)?
-Possible to get all the income to the project or has to be sent to the Egyptian Government? Can the procedure be changed for I Love Dahab-CLEAN?
-What is required to keep the money inside the project?
-I Love Dahab-CLEAN as NGO? Or work under another NGO?
-What is the visitor’s tax supposed to finance?
-How can a visitor’s tax be managed practically?
-Stamps in passports?
-How much?
-Other relevant information

I know this isn't Visitors Tax exactly, but this website has loads of really useful info about International Development and different funding schemes. Might be worth checking out x

Good thinking Batman - Thanks so much Charly.  Using all resources from our collective nations is the only way to ensure that what we develop for Dahab is the best from the rest of the world.

Am I right in thinking that we had a post on ILD from someone who works for NGO based in Cairo?Huh?  Was a while ago - but maybe they can also be useful?
