hey there, welcome to Dahab, you will love it and never want to leave, I have never stayed at Dolphin camp, but my friends have and say it is vey nice and friendly staff, The lighthouse area is walking distance from the camp and a nice place to snorkel as it is like a small cove and when it is windy elsewhere it is calm here, also it is cheap to get a taxi to other places like Blue hole, most camps can arrange transport for you but of course they will add their own commission for this, cheap places to eat, well, I suppose the cheapest would be king chicken, where you can get breast chicken rice and soup for 10egyptian pounds, it is cheapest if you go to egyptian restaurants off the promenade there is a nice place, small, run by an egyptian lady with egyptian food, on the main road Peace Road, accross from the mosque, and the food is fantastic, if you want to treat yourself, try the kitchen restaurant and the Thai restaurant on the promenade, the Thai one is upstairs and small, so you might have to book or get there early, hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your stay in Dahab,

Veronica, thanks very much .. your reply is like a road map for me i think i will print it out .. and thanks for your wishes. But some of the places you told me about are not on wikimapia so i dont know where the promenade is, but i think i will find. Do you know about sindbad camp?, it seems right on lighthouse on map, is it as good as dolphin camp? Tell me do you recommend any night clubs? (where i can meet nice ladies .. haha).

Dahab is not big, and sure you will find the promenade, it runs all along the beach, so you cant miss it, I suggested dolphin camp as it is central for everything, yes sinbad camp is also nice and seems clean, and cheap, I think 25le per night b ut maybe that is changed now, and probably also depends on the room, sinbad is just past the lighthouse area maybe another 5 mins walk, clubs, well, Tree bar have parties 3 night a week, best one is tuesday night, and rush is just before the bridge, Friday night is best and sometimes wednesday night is ok, Mohitos is upstairs besaide rush, its a nice place also with good music and a small dance area, But, Dahab is quiet at the moment, so not a lot of peole around, Black Prince also have some good nights on Thursdays, but not always open, hope this is of some help Good luck, good internet cafe, on main st, with fast connection beside Sphinx hotel, on same side, and accross from Why Not barbers, for your shaving while u are here, very important to catch the ladies, ha ha,who also offer a good service with english speaking staff, hope thaqt covers eerything, oh, and bargain bargain bargain for everything enjoy.

Well, I am glad that you took the trip and did enjoy it. I will be looking forward for a trip to go over there as well. It seems like it would be really gentle on the wallet if I would go for a trip in Dahab. Things are not that costly and that suits my budget. I think trying out and taking action is better than considering and the trip will never happen if I didn’t put it into action.
